The Testimony of Marc Zuckerberg was a real eye opener. Artificial Intelligence already is the accepted synonym of an almighty force, that restores control where it was already lost.
Mark Zuckerberg referred to „A.I.“ 23 times during his testimony, when asked to prevent foreign actors from interfering in U.S. elections, protecting the right for open speech, stopping discriminatory advertising and taking responsibility for content. He claimed to identify fake accounts, terrorist propaganda, harmful content, hate speech and bad activities with the help of A.I. – in several languages and countries.
The way he referred to this mystical power – without further specification – sounded like the tech-version of „with the help of god“. And senators seemed to accept this flatrate solution.
